This year I made mini apple, cherry and pumpkin pies in a cupcake pan for Thanksgiving - - this way family members can have more than one dessert and not feel guilty. Works for me! Happy Thanksgiving!

Yummy kahlua cupcakes - a delicious idea presented to me by one of my co-workers. They are dark fudge chocolate cupcakes with a mocha chocolate fudge center topped with kahlua icing. I was able to find a kahlua chocolate bar so I placed a piece of the bar on the top of each cupcake.

Our good friend Tom asked me to make a cake for his dad's, mom's, niece's and nephew's birthday. I had a fun time playing around with all of the colors and writing styles. It is a chocolate sheet cake with buttercream icing. Happy Birthday!

Just using some of the new royal icing flowers that I have made in class. Did you know that you can actually keep a dried flower for a few years if you keep it in an airtight container?

When I was learning how to make primroses it reminded me of the pretty Japanese cherry blossoms and how I always admired it in a lot of Japanese artwork. I made a chocolate cake with strawberry cream filling and buttercream icing. I did my first reverse shell border on the bottom with a shell border on top.

In Course 2 of Wilton Cake Decorating I have learned how to make flowers out of royal icing. So far I know how to make apple blossoms, violets and violet leaves, daises, daffodils, primroses and antique roses.
